When returning home from running errands, we noticed that the property behind our home had a fire going on (this is something that goes on constantly). We initially went inside but grew increasingly concerned about the situation, prompting us to step back outside to monitor it. Unfortunately, the fire escalated rapidly and grew out of control within minutes. We had to use a garden hose to wet down the back fence in order to prevent the flames from spreading onto our property. It is important to note that complaints and reports have previously been filed regarding this property, yet the issues remain unresolved. We are deeply concerned that a situation like this could occur while residents are asleep, leaving little to no time to safely evacuate. We urge that the appropriate agencies take immediate action to address this property (and other properties in our community) and the ongoing danger it poses to the surrounding community. The continued neglect of this property is unacceptable and presents a serious threat to the safety and well-being of neighboring residents.
